'The Gray Paper Interview' Retrospective Funding for Post-Production

This is a request for a big tip to cover the additional costs incurred creating the recently released and widely watched one-off special ‘The Gray Paper Interview’ produced by Key Pictures.

The work done for this video, although partly facilitated by the Key Pictures/Behind the Code treasury funding — medium spend #415 (which covered the actual filming costs on the day), did not cover the significant additional post production costs / time creating this 100 minute video.

Key Pictures decided to create it as a one-off special, given the high quality content of the interview from Dr. Gavin Wood, the need for wider insight into JAM across the community and to coincide with the release of the Gray Paper itself at Token 2049 in Dubai.

Very kindly, The Kusamarian offered to distribute it and are now doing an excellent job clipping it up and promoting it.

Costs incurred by Key Pictures for creating this video, which we are requesting retrospective funding for are as follows:

4 days editing@500USD per day - 2000 USD

1 day online/colour grading/audio mix - 800USD

Graphics creation - 250USD

Music licensing for Leif Wyn track ‘CIRRUS’ (which is used as an intro/outro theme) - 750USD

Total: 3800 USD / 554 DOT at today’s EMA7 price of 6.856 USD/DOT

Going forward the additional post production costs creating the spin-off series from Behind the Code, ‘Web3Thinkers’ and ‘Web3Builders’ will be covered as part of the Kusmarian’s latest medium spend treasury proposal #668.  As with 'The Gray Paper Interview' these will be distributed via The Kusamarian's platforms.

What an exemplary piece of content you captured and produced for DOT holders. This fair compensation for the pains to create it is warranted and we can verify the other details of the broadcasting arrangement you laid out. Thank you Simon!
