Public rpc services for polkadot including the common chains in Q3 2023
This is a request for the retroactive funding of maintaining public rpc services in Q3 2023 for polkadot, including the commons (assethub, bridgehub, collectives), all included in polkadot.js.org.
Infrastructure requests are a hot topic on the treasury. After our rejected request we scaled down a little and delayed adding ourself to more services like polkassembly and the staking dashboard until it is clear if the polkadot community thinks our service deserves further funding.
Stakeworld is an active participant in the dotsama ecosystem, active as a validator (also in the thousand validator group) as well as running collators, making updates to the wiki, running bootnodes and maintaining robust rpc public endpoints. Especially the rpc endpoints cannot be maintained without adequate funding.
In the previous 30 days we served:
- 117.144.567 Polkadot & common chains rpc requests
More info can be found in the full proposal.
We hope for a positive outcome so we can continue to provide the dotsama community with our rpc services.
Regards,
Max | Stakeworld.io

Hi stakeworld.io, Thank you for submitting this proposal. Given our understanding of the RPC provider landscape and bilateral discussions with different providers, we believe the best interim approach would be to pursue a collective-based referenda where RPCs providing public endpoints on the Relay Chain and System Parachains, can seek funding. Longer-term, there should be sufficient utilization of the Relay Chain and System Parachains where RPC providers are able to operate in a sustainable fashion. Therefore, Ivy votes nay on this proposal with the hope that stakeworld.io joins other RPC providers in a collective-based approach.
