[Small Spender] Stakeworld's polkadot RPC and bootnode infrastructure - Q2 2023
730 days ago
Stakeworld offers a high availability infrastructure for RPC nodes and bootnodes. We also try to share our experiences as much as possible on the polkadot wiki.
This is a request for funding of:
- Setting up and maintaining high availability RPC services for polkadot and polkadot commons (AssetHub, BridgeHub and Collectives).
- Setting up and maintaining a bootnode for polkadot.
The full proposal can be found here.

We're very much nearing that critical time when the question would be asked, how many RPC providers do we need? I think in the future we'll see some smaller providers either edged out or find themselves as part of larger collectives. Until that times reaches I would like to lend support to smaller providers who are not only delivering service at reasonable cost but contributing positively towards the ecosystem with wiki contributions, documentation etc. My vote is but a small one but I wish you success as you navigate turbulent waters.
For the sake of decentralization, we think multiple RPC providers are a must. We want to avoid what happened with other chains (you can guess the examples), so CCTF decided to support this proposal.
