$DED Holiday Marketing Campaign Proposal — Korea & Japan (Winter 2024/25)
Following our successful pilot campaign ahead of KBW 2024, $DED aims to develop and execute a multi-pronged marketing campaign catering to the Korean and Japanese markets during the upcoming 2024 holiday season. This extended marketing campaign will focus on leveraging Naver's expansive ecosystem such as Naver Cafe and LINE to reach end users in both countries. The proposed marketing campaign will run from late November 2024 to the Lunar New Year in January 2025. Pending thoughts from the community, we will initiate a formal proposal on Open.gov in the coming weeks.

Further to the above, $DED aims for this follow-on marketing campaign to focus on 1.) leveraging Naver Cafe, 2.) LINE & Kakao Talk, and 3.) local influencers, shillers, and professional hype men to raise awareness of the $DED project and build organic communities in these key emerging markets.
Please note the below outline for the upcoming marketing campaign.
I. Digital Marketing Campaign on Naver Blogs and Cafe
Similar to our pilot campaign prior to KBW, $DED will conduct a targeted digital marketing campaign using Naver Cafe. More specifically, $DED will seek to partner with established communities such as Bitman (비트맨).
With over one million members, Bitman is one of the largest active cryptocurrency communities in the country. The community is a well known hub for discussions on blockchain technology, Bitcoin, Ethereum, NFTs, and other digital assets.
The community also offers a variety of content such as cryptocurrency news, technical analysis, investment tips, and events like crypto-related lotteries and airdrops. $DED will aim to partner with the Naver Cafe to reach our end user through digital advertising.
II. LINE & Kakao Talk Communities
Further to the above, $DED will directly connect with users through the Kakao Talk and LINE messenger, which is the largest commercial messaging application in South Korea and Japan.
More specifically, $DED will aim to leverage Kakao Talk Bizboard to display ads (Talk Board Ads, Search Ads, and Kakao Moments) in the main chat list, Kakao Story, and other affiliated applications.
Additionally, $DED will create a Kakao Talk channel and official LINE account to engage directly with users through direct messaging and engagement. These advertising mediums are branded account(s) that users can follow to receive updates and messages about the project. $DED will be able to broadcast messages, send promotional content, and other limited time offers.
III. Influencers, Shillers, and Professional Hype Men
Finally, $DED will seek to partner with local influencers, shillers, and professional hype men to organically spread awareness of the project within these key emerging markets on Telegram, Kakao Talk and LINE among other social media platforms.
