Polkadot ecosystem ‘open for all’ organic PR & media campaign

We’re happy to say we’re ready to apply to continue providing the Polkadot ecosystem the PR support it deserves :)

Our new proposal: We’re requesting 165K USDC (~150K Euro equiv. based on the Euro/USD rate of 1.00 Euro = 1.10 USD).

Deliver at least 120 unique articles (not including syndications, press release distributions, wires, etc.) over 4-5 months or less.

Deliver at least 30 different amplifications on Reddit/Quora/YouTube (or extra articles).

We’d like to highlight the work we’ve delivered since January 2024 and continue building momentum towards Polkadot 2.0 and JAM.

After passing Referendum 247 (topped up our budget once, since) we have delivered over 325 unique articles, not including syndications, to Polkadot as well as 45+ Polkadot ecosystem teams since January 2024, including but not limited to: Hydration, Bifrost, EasyA, Talisman, Tanssi, Polimec, Polytope, Subquery, Mandala, Archisinal, Unique Network, Polkadot Blockchain Academy.

We’ve landed organic news coverage based on ecosystem collaboration in publications such as Forbes, Coindesk, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, Investing.com, The Street, and The Defiant and more.

Once an ecosystem team fills out the submission form, we immediately get in contact to follow up and understand the scope of the given news story that was submitted. Below, you can find the MarketAcross methodology that ensures maximized PR results:

  1. Don’t ‘kiss & tell’ - If you have a newsworthy story, don’t write about it on your blog or tweet about it - come to us first! Journalists expect a level of exclusivity when it comes to publishing news. Once something is published on social channels, it can reduce the news value of your story for reporters. You can tweet or publish your news after a journalist publishes an article.

  2. Fill the form correctly and thoroughly - To find the story's strong points, we need to know as much as possible about it, even if you think it’s irrelevant.

  3. Give us enough time - it’s better to give us at least a week's notice; we need to draft an announcement, prepare a pitch, and start talking to the media - it takes time. The more time we have, the better results we’re gonna get.

  4. We’re LIVE - Go Go Go! - now it’s time to blast your social channels, repost the stories, give shoutouts to the publications that covered you, etc.

We’ll review this with you and hold your hand through the process, but we think sharing here in the open will be helpful.

The goal remains for every Polkadot-relevant project/parachain/company to know they have access to organic media outreach for any news or announcements that are Polkadot-relevant, and we’d love the community’s help spreading the word.

    • Reddit and Social Amplifying the media hits on Reddit to create virality.
