Head Ambassador Proposal: Dustin Lee

TLDR:

I am Dustin Lee, and I am proposing for the Polkadot Head Ambassadors Program. Josiah and I initially applied under proposal #1015. However, with the community feedback, we decided I would pursue the Head Ambassador role while Josiah will independently apply for a Senior role later.

With six years of experience with the Polkadot ecosystem with parachain projects such as Darwinia Network, who are early friends of Polkadot in the Polkadot lightpaper, and 4yrs of that are complementary skills with Polkadot, 2yrs with Astar Network. I aim to enhance Polkadot's presence in the U.S. through a formally recognized position. My business development, public speaking, and social marketing skills have been honed throughout the years of advocacy as a previous Polkadot Ambassador.

My proposal highlights my track record in building business relationships and public outreach. Planned activities include business development, marketing, event participation, outreach, and community support. With extensive experience in the Polkadot ecosystem, significant followings, and notable contributions to key projects, I aim to leverage my skills and networks to advance Polkadot's values and presence.

Full Proposal

This application proposes Dustin Lee as a Head Ambassador position. This decision comes after much discussion about our company's internal workload, Metarock Ltd trading as DeStore. My profile demonstrates my long-standing advocacy for the Polkadot ecosystem on social media and at real-life events. Given my geographical location, this proposal seeks to cover the U.S. Below, I provide a breakdown of what I propose to bring as Head Ambassador, with my track records and vision to build Polkadot's future. I don't have a CV as I have been on Web3 for 7 years, but I have included my LinkedIn profile, which is up to date.

As an entrepreneur in the blockchain space for the past seven years, I have gained valuable insights into market dynamics. My contributions to Polkadot projects include business development and marketing roles for Darwinia Network and Astar Network. As co-founder and chief marketing officer at DeStore Network, I focus on real-world assets and onboarding retail. My early adoption of the Polkadot ecosystem has established me as a reputable figure, adept at educating others and raising awareness within the broader web3 ecosystem on Polkadot's values.
