SportStake Marketing Funding Proposal Discussion
Dear Polkadot Community,
We will be submitting our first treasury proposal this month and would like to invite feedback from the community. SportStake is a mobile wallet app that allows sports fans to stake DOT and automatically support their favorite sports clubs by sharing a small portion of their staking rewards. This provides clubs with an additional source of funding that can be used to support initiatives such as youth development programs and other community-focused activities.
So far, we’ve partnered with NAC Breda and SV Kampong, two well-known Dutch sports organizations. These pilots have helped us grow our staking pool to over 50,000 DOT and demonstrated that there is strong interest from both fans and clubs. Our proposal requests funding to expand these partnerships across Europe, improve the app, and increase awareness to attract more participants.

Interesting proposal.
First of all, this proposal should go to the Marketing Bounty.

@EricDistractive Thanks a lot for your detailed feedback—much appreciated!
We agree that this proposal could potentially fall under the Marketing Bounty, However, since a portion of the milestones also involves further development of the SportStake platform, we’re currently leaning towards a treasury proposal. That said, we’ll take a closer look at both routes before making a final decision.

Thanks for testing the wallet and sharing your thoughts! We hear you on the seed storage experience. QR-code based private keys is on our roadmap. Educational content will play a big role in this as well.
I hope this helps clarify some of our thinking and plans!
