#228 Community Events Reward Bounty with Child-Bounty Distribution
The Events Bounty has been established to fund several activities in the ecosystem:
- Events (meetups, sponsorships, hackathons, side-events and similar activities within the domain of “events” which contribute to the growth, representation and development of Polkadot)
- BD and speaker travel
- Assistance with speaker and BD co-ordination throughout the year
- Commenting on OpenGov proposals related to events
- Identifying key industry events for Polkadot’s presence
- Funding tech integrations and initiatives related to Events
Anyone can apply for funding by filling out a form, document and budget template which meet the bounty guidelines, more information can be found on the Events Bounty website.
Reports by the Events Bounty are issued 1-2 months after every quarter and shared on the Polkadot Forum and EB website.

This is a great proposal for events like local meetups. We often have a long process to get through all the steps for space rent/food/drinks even if it is just ~150 EUR/event.
I see it as a good chance to have more quality meetups to happen, where the organizers can focus more on organizing and less on the "how do I get the money for it" part.

The proposal for the initial composition of the multisig, e.g. the curators, is one member from Web3 Foundation and two global head ambassadors. The signatories of the general curator from Web3 Foundation won’t receive any rewards. Please find the proposal for the general curators of this bounty here

The Events Bounty Roundup for the September - December 2022 period is now available.
The 40 proposals received, examples of funded events, curators and next steps can be read here.
I have tried to contact the Bounty curators several times with no success. Please come to the Kusama/Polkadot direction channel.
These bounties need to be open for community and I am not able to find any social media links how to reach curators or ask them the questions.

After awarding over 100 events in the last year we have received feedback from the community of Polkadot event proposers/producers accessing this bounty that efficiency of bounty review process could be optimized.
With the popularity this bounty has achieved (and the DOT awards requested scaling while the USD price of DOT has dropped and the extraordinary nature of these events has increased), we have been necessarily moving slowly through queue so as to provide proper feedback and responsible review.
As such we are taking an opportunity to expand the curator set to include two more curators to the set, bring our multisig threshold to a 3/5, and introducing a new program for subcurators to join the curators in assisting bounty review.
Please keep your eyes peeled for an updated proposal that we will be submitting through an OpenGov proposal soon!

its fair to reward curators of the bounty programs , for every researched apply, pls add it to new proposal
also I suggest to give Head Ambassadors ability to tip ambassadors for their activities, based on experience we get from this bounty program. It will increase the efficiency of Ambassador Program

Our Belgium based organisation Digital Currency Academy organises monthly live and online events for crypto investors and enthousiasts to educate on Blockchain, Technology, and crypto projects.
We had educational sessions with Chainlink, Bitvavo, ICP, Hedera, The Graph and more.
For our users it's not very clear what the Polkadot ecosystem is all about and I want to propose to organise an educational event about it.
We are a community sponsored by the Belgian Government and Bitvavo. With 270 paying members and 8000 free members.
