Expected Achievements after this event

<li>Raise good awareness from this event participants, especially nurturing ideas of building Web 3.0 products with the support of Polkadot ecosystem.</li>
<li>We will create a group chat to engage with all students here (Polkadot Vietnam Dev) that is hosted by me (Cris), Polkadot Insider, and Moonbeam Network. A QR Code will be created and promoted at the booth and main stage when I&rsquo;m presenting Polkadot.</li>
<li>Plan for this: In the future we will collaborate with HUTECH and students in this group chat to run small bounties and virtual classes to teach these students about Web 3.0 and Blockchain technology.</li>
<li>Engage with participants here at the booth in lengthy conversations about Polkadot, current development, ecosystem partners and ambassador program and give away some swags. Our target is to get 2-5 Polkadot Ambassador candidates.</li>
<li>Have contacts from University Tech professors and am happy to share it with all people in the Polkadot ecosystem who want to explore potential partnerships doing Hackathon in Vietnam.</li>

The below breakdown is extremely simple and I don&rsquo;t raise fund for myself workload (it will 100% counted to Polkadot Insider contribution)

I'm strongly convinced that this opportunity is extremely affordable to engage and create a new talent community for Polkadot ecosystem in general, and organize a new developer generation for this blockchain in the future. **Polkadot Insider proposal !!!**

After receiving a grant from the Kusama treasury for nearly half a year, our main goal has been to consistently operate and develop the "**Polkadot Insider**" brand within the community. Our efforts have not only targeted the Polkadot community but have also reached out to other communities in the Asian region.  Sincere token holders can explore the accomplishments report and highlights we have achieved during this period.

In this proposal, Polkadot Insider aims to seek funding from the Polkadot Open Gov to continue and main the Polkadot Insider media and educational system for the next 28 weeks (from August 2023 to February 2024). The goal is to dedicatedly promote our branding to the bigger community, allow timely access into the lastest content, and utilize to disseminate information to others.

POLKADOT INSIDER - 28 WEEKS OPERATION & GROWTH FUNDING (AUGUST 2023 - FEBRUARY 2024)

Hello, We are core team members at OpenGuild are happy to apply for the Head Ambassador role in the new Ambassador Program in charge of the **Southeast Asia market** fostering the focus of building relationships with Web3.0 builders, organizations, and influencers in the SEA market to elevate the Polkadot ecosystem and Polkadot techstack.

## **CONTEXT - WHAT IS OPENGUILD?**

OpenGuild - An open community driven by Web 3.0 builders elevating Polkadot in Southeast Asia. We find & connect talents in the region and help them become a part of Polkadot to create new value.

OpenGuild Community is run by the OG Core Team, a team of dedicated long-term contributors focusing on exploring market entries and enhancing organization collaboration for Polkadot in Southeast Asia ([**Cris Nguyen](https://x.com/crisnguyen99), [Tin Chung](https://x.com/chungquantin), [Patricia Arro](https://x.com/polka_pat)**).

## **CORE TEAM MEMBERS**

We have 3 core team members with 4 more executive members in charge of BD, Marketing, Events, and Developer Relations living in SEA countries.

### **Cris Nguyen**

Cris has worked in the Polkadot ecosystem for 3 years, where he led the Polkadot Insider team to become the biggest research and educational media platform in the Polkadot community (handed over to the [co-founder](https://x.com/ducky_insider) in January 2024). His focus had been on business development and partnerships, working with multiple para chains and applications by addressing their marketing and community needs and helping them with community campaigns and promotions. Cris is also a prolific connector of the Polkadot ecosystem in Southeast Asia with a focus on partners including VCs, media organizations and communities, and Web3 projects. Cris has successfully organized multiple events on behalf of Polkadot in Southeast Asia with 100+ attendees. He has also been a speaker at various events, bringing Polkadot closer to local crypto communities and becoming the most active ambassador in the region. Cris had a chance to work at Moonbeam Network as a Business Development professional based in Vietnam, focused on building partnerships with builders and facilitating growth for the broader Polkadot ecosystem for 6 months.

At the current stage, Cris’s focus is Strategy Lead and Operation Manager at OpenGuild to deliver regular workshops, events, hackathons, and technical community calls, becoming the important representative of the Polkadot network in Southeast Asia market and nearly becoming a middle point of contact for Polkadot/Parachain team to any potential vendors in the market.

### **Tin Chung**

Tin has participated in a few blockchain hackathons, such as the Chainlink Spring Hackathon 2021, where my team was awarded as the Top Project Winner, and the International Blockchain Olympiad with the Category Award Winner.

Regarding Tin’s professional experience, he has experience working as a software engineer in multiple L1 blockchains, from Ethereum and Solana to Lightning Network L2 solutions on the Bitcoin blockchain, Tin is a former [Coin98 Wallet](https://x.com/coin98_wallet) engineer - one of the biggest wallet in SEA market with 10M+ users and ex-lead engineer at [Snowflake](https://x.com/snowflake_sol) - a multi-sig wallet with total 50M+ TVL at peak on Solana.

In his past startup working as a software engineer, he developed and maintained open-source SDKs and client libraries in Rust and TypeScript that help developers work with underlying protocols. On the other hand, Tin has spent a lot of time building and contributing to open-source software, especially the Polkadot SDK and Substrate framework for blockchain builders.

At the current stage, he is a PBA graduate at Singapore Cohort (Wave 5) and Dev Rel Lead at OpenGuild / Polkadot SEA with a focus on preparing technical workshop content, hosting a monthly Hackathon at OpenGuild, in charge of all the technical development. Tin was also a Rust Mentor at [Vietnam Biggest Hackathon](https://x.com/ZKPLabs/status/1792577402943701118) organized by ZKP Labs and GM Vietnam on behalf of Polkadot.

### **Patricia Arro**

Patricia has been in the blockchain space doing community marketing management for over 6 years and has worked for blockchain startups in different industries like agritech, fintech, defi, and top exchanges like Bybit and Crypto.com. Her experience started working for a crypto agency where Patricia was the blockchain educator and trainer of community moderators. This led to acquiring more experience in strategic community management that allowed her to work with Product Managers, Engineers, Dev Rels, Marketing, and Sales.

Fast forward to early 2023. Patricia worked at Parity as Polkadot’s APAC Community Manager, managing and growing APAC Ambassadors, activating local communities, and curating events/meetups. During this time, she fostered relationships with local web3 leaders, which now helps boost her current initiatives.

Currently, Patricia is part of OpenGuild which is mainly focused on growing, educating, and activating Polkadot’s developer communities in Southeast Asia. With this, she’s also representing Polkadot in the region by being invited to speak to multiple blockchain and crypto events like AIBC, Southeast Asia Blockchain Week, Thailand Blockchain Week, Sub0 Asia (as host), and multiple local/Philippine initiatives.

### **WHY DO WE PROPOSE THE HEAD AMBASSADOR ROLE AND HOW WE WILL BE ONE OF THE TOP OPTIONS?**

The OG Core Team believes that we are one of the most suitable candidates for the Head Ambassador role in Southeast Asia through our **ready-made resources, connections, partners, and diversified skills** within our team. The OG Core Team already has a large number of partners from the Polkadot ecosystem and local partners, with each member having dedicated over 3 years of full-time commitment to contributing to the ecosystem through various initiatives, building relationships, creating mutual values, and partners are always ready to activate most activities related to Polkadot. The team gathers all the necessary skills to perform well in the focused region, including leadership, operation management, strategy, partnership development, marketing and event management, content creation, community management, public speaking, technical knowledge, developer relations, programming, and most importantly, ecosystem skin-in-the-game.

We have performed the tasks we propose for HA very well in the region as a spirit of Polkadot SEA, but with the Head Ambassador role officially and appropriate resources allocated by collaborating with All Ambassadors in the program, we are confident that we can elevate our work to the next level as our official job build up a strong Polkadot presence and create outcome in SEA.
