We are going to represent Polkadot on the Web Summit this year. We want to get Treasury funding to partially cover direct Web Summit costs. All other costs will be covered by participating companies.

We find it crucial to participate in conferences with key web2 players and 70,000+ attendees, as well as teams from the biggest tech companies, to promote the mass adoption of web3 and generate buzz around the Polkadot.

For Polkadot, Web Summit is a major opportunity to:
- attract attention to the web3 in general and, most importantly, Polkadot blockchain in particular;
- showcase the power of decentralized technologies;
- make a huge step to the mass adoption of web3;
- open up new possibilities of successful partnerships for Polkadot community members;
- appeal to potential investors;
- expand loyal and engaged Polkadot community.

It is crucial to start working outside of web3 bubble for web3 to become simply Web. Just the mere presence of Polkadot at such a conference sends a strong signal to web3 and the web community.

We want to attract more Parachains and projects to this initiative! We need your support to showcase the power of decentralized technologies outside the web3 world together. 

We believe that even in these strict timelines, we can worthy present Polkadot at the biggest Web conference and bring mass adoption.

This proposal seeks funding to sustain the SubQuery Common API infrastructure, crucial for applications like Nova Wallet in Q1-Q2 2023. The API provides pre-indexed data for 74 Substrate-based networks, enabling access to essential information like operation history, staking analytics, and OpenGov queries. The partnership between SubQuery and Nova Wallet has greatly enhanced the Polkadot ecosystem, offering seamless data access. Future plans include expanding data accessibility, decentralizing the API, and proposing funding requests directly to the Polkadot community for sustained growth.
