Shawn Tabrizi developed [a GitHub App](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate-tip-bot) built with Probot that can submit tips on behalf of a Substrate based network. This bot will automatically open tips for community members who submit PRs to the Substrate/Polkadot repo.

The app should be self-sustaining since it gets a portion of the tips, but needs initial funding to bootstrap: this tip aims to provide the funds in order to do so:

- **Polkadot**: 20 DOT
- **Kusama** 0.5 KSM
