Comment(s):
- Gav was originally meant to be seeded into the Fellowship at Rank 7. However, this could not happen as the manifesto specifies that induction at Rank 7 can only be done via the community vote: more specifically on Fellowship Admin track. For any members to be promoted to rank VII a vote from the community needs to happen.
- Gav's contributions to the ecosystem are invaluable and his work has shown a clear vision with regards to where Polkadot should be in the future, what the challenges and the opportunities are in the industry and how a truly unstoppable, scalable and interoperable network should look like.
Make sure to review the above and cast your vote!

The execution, progressing from initial drafts to a comprehensive JAM paper, has been impressive, maintaining strong peer reviews throughout. The Black Spinel rank requires perceived focus, broader representation, and perception of humility. Gavin has demonstrated a primary focus on Polkadot for approximately eight years now(+ prototyping on ethereum). Since sub0, he has significantly stepped up as an intellectual representative of Polkadot, increasing his engagement not just within the protocol but more broadly across social, political, and commercial environments. If one had to come up with some critique and argument against this referendum, it would be the perception of humility. Gavin can at times exhibit a strong personality or assertive communication style that could be perceived as lacking in humility.
ChaosDAO would like to provide the following feedback from our community. We offer this feedback voluntarily in the spirit of OpenGov, in order to help teams improve their proposals so we can all build the network together.
- ChaosDAO members voted AYE with little substantive discussion (but several excellent jokes).
