Elevating the Polkadot Ecosystem: Encode x Polkadot Programme 2024
After taking the feedback of our last referenda, we're excited to share our comprehensive proposal for our 2024 programmes, built upon your valuable feedback and our extensive experience in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Summary
Our proposal leverages over three years of experience in ecosystem development within Polkadot. For 2024, we're introducing a comprehensive year-long programme designed to attract new developers, support the current ones, guide mature projects towards creating significant startups and foster new talent in the ecosystem.
Our successes
We're excited to continue our journey with Polkadot, a path marked by numerous milestones achieved. Since launching our programmes in 2021, we've facilitated over six hackathons, resulting in hundreds of projects, propelled projects to secure VC funding through our accelerators, and welcomed thousands of participants through our educational workshops. Your support has been invaluable to these successes!
Our proposal includes
Allocating funding for prize distribution for the recently finished Polkadot hackathon 2024 - link to our Tranche 5 proposal is here. Implementing our 2024 programmes, which encompass: an Educational Series, an Ink! Bootcamp, an Online Hackathon, an Accelerator Programme, an In-Person Event and Year-Long Access to Talent Support.
Requested funds
We request funding of $385k split across 3 tranches of $128,333 in DOT (17,898.60 DOT based on Subscan MA of 7.17): Immediately (July 2024), after 3 months (October 2024) and after 6 months (January 2025).

Conclusion
Our journey with the Polkadot community has been both fun and impactful. With the potential we see in Polkadot and the continued support from our partners, we're confident in our ability to further grow the Polkadot ecosystem. We're committed to fostering the community in the most impactful ways possible, building on our past successes and the foundation laid by our collaborative efforts!

Encode Club have hosted hackathons and bootcamps for the Polkadot ecosystem for many years with decent outcome. I know a lot of good Polkadot ecosystem developers joined via one of the Encode Club event. I believe they will be able to continuously bring in new individuals and teams to the ecosystem.
