TL;DR
**This proposal aims to kickstart two key initiatives for the Polkadot LATAM community: first, adopting the Editorial Board model for decentralized management of the Polkadot in Spanish X account; second, creating marketing strategies tailored for the LATAM region. Executive Summary
The current Decentralization of social media that is being developed within the Polkadot ecosystem does not include a plan of action for the Spanish community, therefore we would like to apply the SOCIAL MEDIA EDITORIAL BOARD presented by Evan Thomas https://forum.polkadot.network/t/decentralized-social-media/5192 for the decentralization of Polkadot account in Spanish.
The same issue that is happening when it comes to social media, happens in terms of Marketing in Spanish, that’s we would also serve as the vital link between LATAM marketing initiatives and the global strategy. We will work to ensure that there is a seamless integration of efforts, maintaining a consistent and coherent brand message across all platforms and regions. This will involve either acting as a bridge, facilitating communication and alignment between different marketing teams, or by proactively developing and proposing our own initiatives to the Board, and ecosystem actors to later execute.
Who’s JC (proposer and auxiliary)?
JC, is a Web3 Marketer with over four years of dedicated experience in social media marketing and a specialized focus on the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors.
One of JC's most notable achievements within the Polkadot ecosystem was her leadership of the PolkaPals cross-marketing initiative. This effort united 17 teams from within the ecosystem, engaging over 6,000 participants in more than 35k activities designed to foster community spirit and drive engagement. More information on this initiative can be found here.
How does Polkadot Conecta fit in the ecosystem?
Improve Engagement: Polkadot’s social media faces low engagement, indicating content-strategy misalignment with audience interests. Polkadot Conecta will introduce a dynamic, data-driven content approach to boost interaction.
Alignment with the Ecosystem: Despite many initiatives, a communication gap hides them from view, especially bounty-funded projects. We aim to align communications for greater initiative visibility and participation.
Utilizing Community Content: Much community content goes unnoticed, missing engagement opportunities. Polkadot Conecta will implement methods to feature community content, nurturing a more dynamic ecosystem.
Cross-Marketing Initiatives and marketing initiatives: The ecosystem lacks a systematic cross-promotion strategy. We plan to create cross-marketing partnerships, maximizing the combined strengths and reach within the ecosystem.
Improve Visibility of Team Efforts: The visibility of team work within Polkadot is often limited by language barriers, particularly in non-English regions. Polkadot Conecta aims to overcome this with bilingual content and communication strategies, showcasing team achievements and ensuring no work is overlooked due to language constraints.

Question of clarity.
The proposer will receive $120,000 USD in salary?
An additional $180,000 USD will be used for marketing.
And each of the 3 board members will receive payment, how much will they receive?
Fantastic initiative! Distractive is on board with it, but have a couple of thoughts to add. Six months of content might seem like a decent chunk of time, but it flies by in the blink of an eye. We suggest considering extending the timeline a bit to ensure a lasting impact. LATAM has the potential for some serious promotional and PR support in that region. It's a market ripe with opportunity, and getting the word out effectively could make all the difference. While you might not be able to tackle that aspect alone, any intros or connections you can offer to teams or individuals who specialize in building communities in Spanish and Portuguese-speaking regions would be helpful. Strengthening our presence there could be a game-changer! In short, count Distractive in supporting this proposal. Let's make some magic happen together!
