We have voted against the proposed structure for the Spanish content and event production bounty. Our decision is guided by a principle that aligns with insights from James C. Scott's seminal work, "Seeing Like a State: How Certain Schemes to Improve the Human Condition Have Failed." Scott's analysis reveals how complex administrative frameworks can inadvertently hinder the very progress they aim to facilitate, underscoring the value of simplicity and adaptability in organizational structures. To foster a more dynamic and effective initiative, we suggest adopting a streamlined approach with 1-2 active curators at its core. This model not only ensures agility and efficiency but also aligns with our overarching goal of nurturing the Polkadot ecosystem without the burden of excessive administrative overhead. We believe this streamlined structure will enable us to remain agile, responsive, and effectively focused on our mission. By reducing complexity, we can more efficiently allocate resources towards impactful content creation and community engagement.
The Spanish-speaking Polkadot community will have incredible growth with this initiative
