Press Kit- A package of promotional material to provide simple clear messaging for Polkadot 2.0 through visualization. People learn in different mediums and visualization is one of the strongest forms for grabbing attention, understanding, and retaining high level concepts.

This Press Kit will be available at https://www.polkadot2dot0.xyz/ messaging is free for anyone to utilize/download, including but not limited to:

·       Ambassador distribution

·       Enthusiasts

·       Knowledge Searches on Google

·       Any Advertising Engine

Problems this Proposal Solves:

A Press Kit allows for a simple understanding of the tech to be presented to anyone through multiple source outlets. It will bring a simple visualization understanding of the concept told in a non-technical way.  From this Press Kit individuals can create proposals to use this media in multiple countries globally. This messaging will not be limited to the US, EU, Africia, Zimbabwe, or Antarctica. The English version will also be translated into Spanish, Hindi, Russian, Arabic and French.  Its sole purpose is to simplify the high-level technology so the world can determine its benefits and onboard.  

From this Press kit anyone can create:

We understand things move fast at Polkadot! While our proposal below is outlined, we understand the need to pivot! Our team of designers would be dedicated to creation for 2 months, building out the Polkadot2Dot0.xyz content creation of 12 videos and 150 graphics. We will optimize the videos on YouTube and run multiple google ad campaigns. Our set goal for this proposal is 3,000,000 YouTube views for a total of the 12 videos. Analytics and AD budget spent will be provided 30 days into the campaigns on the website https://www.polkadot2dot0.xyz/ for transparency.

Visualization Press Kit Proposal:

Twelve Videos Non-Technical, Plus YouTube promotion for 3 months

1.       Three visually different; two-to-three-minute video for Polkadot 2.0 –

High level Analogy Concept Archetype:

Polkadot = planet (provides slots for cities)

Blockchains = cities

Polkadot 1.0 = rent a whole business tower for 2 years

Polkadot 2.0 (Core Time) = rent only the office space needed for as long as needed (very flexible now)

2.       Three visually different; Sixty to ninety second videos just for Coretime – Where to buy & pricing models. – Present analogy of a small-town retail store and the big guy (institutional), simple and without bias.

Consumer Video Press Kit:

Consumers are what makes an ecosystem a success, it always comes down to the users who pay transaction fees and DOT stakers securing the network.

3.       Three visually different; Wallets and Staking – Non bias video listing Polkadot’s Self Custody Options. Highlights of Staking and Voting Options. Simple to the point, examples – Talisman, Nova, Fearless, etc...

·       If a Wallet has a “how to use” technical video it can be presented on the Press Kit Page, not provided by this proposal.

  1. post an example of a Press Kit for CoreTime developed by you so we can look at the quality of your work.
  2. solicit and share the feedback from MarketAcross (OpenGov #247) or Distractive (DFP) who are engaged in PR and coordinating marketing strategy
  3. register the beneficiary and show that you can move funds out of the account

  1. Please see updated proposal. I have done several Press Kits in my old career. For Polkadot this initiative would start with the website base and be built out.
  2. I met with Katie and she told me the first focus for DFP is wording. She also indicated that her team should not be the only ones doing video content.

This should be worked on primarily by distractive — I don't think it makes sense to branch out to have another proposal around this at this time.
