Close the Polkadot Pioneers Prize Bounty and Return Remaining Funds to the Treasury

This referendum proposes to formally close the Polkadot Pioneers Prize bounty and return the remaining ~702,950 DOT to the treasury.

The Pioneers Prize was created to support technical advancement in the Polkadot ecosystem through a series of incentive challenges, with categories including zero-knowledge research and infrastructure development. But since the program is no longer active and no further work is planned, this referendum initiates the on-chain action to shut down the bounty and return the unused funds to the treasury.

Aye. The program is inactive, no new work is planned, and returning 700k+ DOT to the treasury is the responsible move. Thanks for putting this proposal together @OTAR

Below is a summary of our members' comments:

The referendum closed the Polkadot Pioneers Prize bounty and returned approximately 702,950 DOT to the treasury. Members agreed that the bounty's purpose, which once supported technical and research innovations, had run its course and was no longer viable without dedicated oversight. They expressed confidence that redirecting the remaining funds to the treasury strengthened overall financial management. Several voters highlighted that a bounty would not succeed without responsible stewardship, while others anticipated that reallocating the funds would better serve community priorities. Overall, the decision was supported as a practical move to safeguard resources and ensure that funds continued to benefit the network effectively.
