[Whitelisted Caller] Enable RFC103
PLEASE NOTE:
A new proposal (#1736) for upgrading Polkadot’s relay chain to the 1.6.2 release is now up for vote. Before this referendum (including RFC103) is approved, the 1.6.2 upgrade must be executed onchain. The upgrade includes the relay chain fix for the bug that has caused the Kusama stall, solving a potential issue on Polkadot as well.
Please note that #1736 should be executed before this proposal passes. Therefore the submitter has deleted the preimage for this proposal for now.
This referendum enables the RFC103 feature in the relay chain runtime and if approved it will be enacted on 8th of Sep (Monday around 8:00 UTC) at block #27677196
Once enacted, the relay chain Elastic Scaling feature is complete and live! RFC103 is a PoV replay protection mechanism that is mandatory to be implemented by parachains that will use multiple cores.
We have successfully enabled RFC103 on Kusama with 569. More details can be found in this forum post.
