Project Scope

This project extends the functionality of rfp.fund - funded for Kusama with KSM RFP #2.

Leveraging the same team awarded that prize, this project intends to:

  1. Unlock mulit-sig RFPs for Polkadot **
  2. Enable bounty curators to associate Child Bounties with RFPs
  3. Deploy “RFP Board” to consolidate ecosystem RFPs across Kusama/Polkadot Treasuries & Kusama/Polkadot Child Bounties created through the app.

Milestones

Milestone 1, Polkadot Multi-sig RFPs:
$2,000 USD
10 days

  1. Install Polkadot Multi-sig RFP functionality
  2. Test UI
  3. Validated by Supervisors

Milestone 2, Child Bounty RFPs:
$3,000 USD
13 days

  1. Connect Wallet
  2. If bounty curator, enable creation of Child Bounty RFP
  3. Generate markdown text for Child Bounty page
  4. Test UI
  5. Validated by Supervisors

Milestone 3, UI & Mainnet Deployment:
$3,000 USD
8 days

  1. Integrate Polkadot Multi-sig RFPs & Childbounty RFPs into rfp.fund
  2. “Bounty Board” to consolidate ecosystem RFPs
  3. Simple sorting and filters
  4. Validated by Supervisors

** Multi-sig RFPs vs. Bounty RFPs for Polkadot

To compete with Spend proposals, Polkadot RFPs must support stablecoin management, requiring multi-sig setups since Bounties lack multi-asset spending. While stablecoin RFPs are efficient, the Treasury cannot revoke funds as with Bounties—a rarely used feature. DOT holders should evaluate proposed supervisors carefully.

We’re actively supporting a new Bounty Pallet with multi-asset and cross-chain capabilities, advocating for its swift inclusion in the runtime and then rfp.fund.

Dear Proposer,

Thank you for your proposal. Our first vote on this proposal is AYE.

The Big Tipper track requires 35% (3 members out of the current 10) participation and simple majority of non-abstain voters according to our voting policy v0.2, and any referendum in which the majority of members vote abstain receives an abstain vote. This proposal has received one aye and zero nay votes from ten available members, with two members abstaining. Below is a summary of our members' comments:

Voters expressed mixed feelings about the referendum. While some chose to abstain, citing a desire for more documentation on past RFPs to encourage greater participation and productivity within the ecosystem, one voter voiced support for the proposal, appreciating its reasonable scope and granular approach. This voter anticipated positive outcomes in the near future. Overall, the comments reflected a shared interest in enhancing the RFP process while emphasizing the need for transparency and evidence of past successes.
