I'm happy to help explain some further information!
Here is a previous submission I have done with Cardano (See Frank Dierolf): https://projectcatalyst.io/funds/12/cardano-use-cases-concept/cardano-and-polkadot-digital-marketplace-factory
You can contact me personally at any of my social medias (mention this post please), and my email at watsonlewrod1@gmail.com.
Here to answer any questions :)
Good morning, guys. Happy to see people coming to the treasury, not asking for big chunks. Your proposal is humble, but I still have some questions that more people might know the answers to. 😊
Are there any plans to maintain the project after these two months? Will you come to the treasury again for that?
How is your project different from platforms like https://polkaproject.com/, https://polkadotecosystem.com/, or even Polkadot.com (they have listed projects on the webpage).
What do you mean by the registrar of Polkadot Projects seeking support? Will there be a listing only of projects that need something?
Thank you for the answers 🫡
@Just_Luuuu Good morning, I see exactly what you mean, so I would like to make the similarities and differences clear!
And thank you so much for your kind words :) Our team is not needing excessive funding, just enough to pursue an enjoyable project and continue to get better connected into the ecosystem! It's additionally a nice and trust case from our team to express our willingness to be accountable and reliable for future projects!
Similarities:
1. You are right in seeing that all of these platforms display projects nicely, and a reference to the corresponding socials + website
2. All platforms have some natural SEO integration
3. All platforms allow a project to submit and join the registrar
Differences:
1. Polkadotecosystem.com has no specific onboarding process beyond emailing the members directly and communicating back and forth until success
2. PolkaProject displays distinct information compared to our project onboarding process, which ours takes more business focused and dedicated information for our home page mechanism
3. Our tooling aims to implement the MixPost public social media tool that retrieves our Postgres database and links new coming organizations to dedicated pieces of social media content from a created social media account ( An example: https://i.ibb.co/pjYn691D/Social-Media.png )
4. Our tooling additionally dedicates an isolated page with dynamic metadata implementation, so when users search for a summary of a given project, our website provides backlinks that encourage authority in the search engine. Although this is not a leading SEO building mechanism, it has intangible value
5. Our tooling requires more foundational information regarding the project onboarding, this information is fed into our training model without developer interference and allows for further context when the viewer requests information beyond what is accessible to the static site which is rendered
6. Our submission process additionally has 'A word from us' section for each Submission section as well, writable in Markdown, that allows each project to add dynamic information they can have their viewers see, in case they want to provide additional context or say what they are looking for
7. We allow for all various projects type, that the other platforms may not allow (such as social media, event organization)
The main reasons as to why we use a landing chatbot for this proposals platform:
1. This proposals project aims to create a landing page conversational AI without needing to display complex information to the viewer from the start
2. Viewers are not overwhelmed with project information's from the start
3. We funnel all types of viewers into the website, developers, investors, non-crypto, and overall anyone who has a bit of time to ask questions, we provide that platform.
4. Our intent to built customized functions inside of the chatbot (such as: getAllProjects(), displayAllCategories(), contributeToProject(), informationOnProject(), submitAProject(), whatIsPolkadot() e.g.) over the development time of 2 months enables all variety of functionality and interactivity, and is linked to our organizations database.
Maintenance:
Finally, to your initial question, we do not see ourselves needing more than 2 months of development, and our team additionally external income nonetheless, our teams general work motivation is quite long term and allows us all to be genuinely excited to further participate in Polkadot without requesting funds. Our upfront time and cost is the primary drive to this being minimally iterative, however with more usage and validity and desire for our tool, we may (but do not expect to) ask for minimal maintenance funds, and if we come to that situation, we will happily provide KPIs and various metrics necessary for the DAO and voters to decide if this project is worth pursuing!
In the future, there can be better discussions on how this project may generate revenue for the Polkadot ecosystem, such as licensing and franchising this project to various blockchains and allocate a contractual agreement with the DAO.
It's a pleasure to respond to these questions any time! I'm glad to see the Just_Luuu tag again :) Have a great day
