It is possible but this referendum won't work because there is no asset rate set for the asset.
It also looks like this is 0.0001 DED and not 1 million.
@JoePetrowski
Is it possible to have a OpenGov ref to
asset.forceAssetStatus(30, treasury, treasury, treasury, treasury, 1, true, false)
nowadays? Is it possible to have a OpenGov ref to
asset.transferOwnership(30, treasury)
?If yes to either, what is the value of "treasury" and needed XCM to support it?
If yes to either, could it be coupled in a
utility.batch
with a subsequentasset.burn(30, 136FwWWfX7jf9pKxE66UXzQ25QJrcP77q5jPfwxC9M2xdsHn, 8963932839528656931477)
?If it was possible to do the above , and passed, this would be a Polkadot DAO-supported "hostile" takeover of DED, making it the 100% "FAIR" linear distribution DED hoped to be.
However,
136F...dsHn
would just move the 8963932839528656931477 DED to some other address (or addresses) to prevent a successfulasset.burn
. I can only seeassets.freeze(30)
, then followed by aasset.thaw
andasset.burn
in a separate ref to combat this, but all this would take a month. What, hypothetically, would a better strategy to get DED back into the 100% "FAIR" distribution DED hoped to be?Would the isSufficient=true in
asset.forceAssetStatus
be an issue for some reason?I assume none of the above is possible, otherwise someone would have suggested it already, in which case, what are the technical blockers?
to "test" whether you can spend other assets using a gov proposal, why not test with Chopsticks? Save everyone some time by not creating "test" proposals
