Extend Current LP7 Crowdloans
With the updated auction schedule, there are two new auctions for LP7 that weren't scheduled at the time that all existing teams opened their LP7 crowdloans. All teams configured their crowdloans to end after the last scheduled LP7 auction that they knew about at the time.
In order to avoid refunding all crowdloans, reopening them for 2 more auctions, and having a large number have to reopen again for LP8, I'm suggesting that teams opt-in to a batch governance call to move the blocks of their crowdloans.
Due to the time remaining, we'd need the Technical Committee to fast track this. With this discussion, I'm looking for:
- Parachain teams who would want to be included in the batch
- Tech Committee willingness to fast track
- Council and community sentiment
The Numbers
All crowdloans currently end at block 9,388,800.
The two new LP7 auctions end on blocks 9,499,000 and 9,671,800.
I suggest changing all (voluntary) crowdloans to end on 9,674,200 (end block + 2,400 for randomness beacon). This would take the form of:
utility.batch(
crowdloan.edit(
paraId: 1,
end: 9_674_200,
... // all other config params equal
),
...
)

That's a good approach, Darwinia parachain is interested to be included in the batch governance call, our paraId is 2003.
Agree, that's necessary for the crowdloans.
Dear Darwinia Team, you didn't even collected 300K DOTs, whoever voted for you voted only because may be for the NFT pack? What plan you created that will make you win the auction if you keep the DOT for next two auctions? I didn't saw any new attempts for getting the slot urgently where as you are collecting DOTs for ages, so agreeing to something you don't deserve makes you look bad. Keeping our DOT hostage for no reason makes you look bad. I don't want to call you out but giving favour to other projects by going behind our back makes you look really really bad. Please vote Nay to the proposal and make amends with your contributor.
Agreed, this is something Nodle would be interested in (ParaId 2026). This would be a good way to ensure that the crowdloans who already raised a considerable amount of DOTs do not have to go through the whole process again if there are still some slots for LP7.
