Most clients that need to connect to the Polkadot network are dependent on RPC nodes to interact with the network. Should the set of existing registered RPC nodes be unavailable, many users will not be able to access the Polkadot chain.

This proposal is about covering the maintenance costs of running a new RPC service for the community. The services is hosted in Scandinavia and will help to further decentralize the network.

We have already submitted a Pull Request for our RPC service, and the service is now publicly available online.
