Meetups Bounty #43: Top-up & changes
Greetings, Polkadot community. As W3F suggested in their recent article, we are submitting our proposal first for discussion to gather feedback from the community and projects in our ecosystem. Our bounty is running out of funds very soon.
This proposal gives a short overview of how Meetups Bounty #43 has grown and what will change next. We highlighted the main results from the past year, key statistics, and improvements we plan to introduce. The focus is on better quality, stronger impact, and smoother processes for everyone involved in Polkadot meetups.
It also explains the new goals for the bounty, upcoming adjustments to funding and rules, and our plans to work more closely with ecosystem partners. You will find all the information about how these meetups will continue to support education, technical onboarding, community building, and business development across many regions.
Link to full proposal is viewable here.
We are now seeking your suggestions on whether we should adjust anything in our document, and if we are missing something. Thanks to everyone who will politely contribute to our discussion. Once we collect the feedback, we will adjust the proposal and submit it to voting. 🔥

Thank you to the whole curator team for the work you’ve been doing with the Meetups Bounty. Thanks to this program, in 2025 we were able to organize ourselves, get properly onboarded and shape Polkadot Uruguay, a community founded 100% by Uruguayans and strongly committed to the ecosystem.
Personally, I’m based in Punta del Este, which is one of the most expensive cities in the region, so I really appreciate that you’re considering increasing the budget cap per meetup. This makes a real difference when trying to run high-quality events while still staying cost-efficient.
I’m very motivated to keep building the community, hosting meetups and creating educational events that bring Polkadot closer to more people in Uruguay and across the region. You can count on me to keep collaborating and providing data, feedback and impact from this local node.
