We’re working on Maple Pay, a QR-based mobile payments platform that allows users to pay with both crypto and fiat (CAD) in real-world Canadian retail environments. Our aim is to enable real-world usage of DOT, aUSD, and other Polkadot assets, while also bridging traditional finance with on-chain innovation.

We are planning to submit a $750K treasury proposal to fund development, compliance, and pilot rollout over the next 6 months. This platform will deeply integrate with Polkadot parachains (Acala, Moonbeam), use XCM for asset transfers, and support off-ramping to fiat via Interac.

We're posting here to gather community feedback, questions, and suggestions before finalizing the full treasury proposal. Your input will help us shape the roadmap and ensure this delivers maximum value to the Polkadot ecosystem.
