Sharing our Draft Proposal for Medium Spender: Unlocking Institutional Growth for AssetHub
In the spirit of open governance and collaborative development, we are excited to share the draft of our Medium Spender Proposal with the Polkadot community.
Before submitting this proposal on-chain, we are inviting feedback to ensure your views and perspectives are incorporated. Over the past months, Merkle Science has been approached by the community, Parity, and the Web3 Foundation to support the next growth chapter of the Polkadot ecosystem—the Asset Hub.
Merkle Science is committed to enabling this growth by helping financial institutions and startups meet international compliance standards, unlocking their ability to build, scale, and deploy capital within the Polkadot ecosystem. To ensure this growth is both sustainable and secure, we're also enhancing the ecosystem’s defenses with cross-chain tracing solutions that address critical security gaps—such as those identified in the Parallel Finance exploit. We are looking forward to the responses and please share your feedback with us in the draft or in the comments below.

I'm quite opinionated on this topic.
One of the key goals of Polkadot right now, especially with the new Plaza initiative, is onboarding developers and bring DeFi projects to build on it. This mission goes hand in hand with attracting capital and liquidity to the new AssetHub.
To make that possible, having a robust Know-Your-Transaction system in place for CEXs, on/off-ramps, and bridges to use, is not optional => it’s a MUST
Now, the proposal itself is in my opinion well done: you guys show what you have accomplished previously with Polkadot and what you have achieved with other ecosystems.
For the deliverables part, it would be nice to show some picture of what it should like in the end
Thank you, Charles, for your feedback.
As discussed, our compliance solution is essential for allowing institutional access to the Hub. You can find the achievements we've accomplished with other blockchains on page 6, while page 5 highlights our progress with Polkadot to date. Please let us know if you can see this information. We're also happy to provide a visual representation of the milestones if that would be helpful.
