(Recap) With Polkadot Treasury backing, the Apillon platform is set to spearhead enterprise adoption of Web3 technologies.

In Milestone 3 (M3), we’ve adopted a unique strategy, branching into three main achievement areas:

  • Flagship Integration
  • New Integrations
  • Improvements of Existing Services

By integrating new services and delivering robust support, Apillon aims to empower large-scale organizations like Salesforce to fully leverage decentralized technologies. To date, we’ve transformed parachains into abstracted services, offering no-code and low-code access to essential Web3 capabilities. This foundational work is key to the future growth of the Apillon platform and all associated Polkadot parachains.

Our focus now is on creating tailored solutions that meet enterprise needs and build trust in Web3, reaching a broader user base and significantly lowering the entry barriers to Web3.

With a signed agreement in place, Apillon is introducing its Embedded Wallet service in Salesforce’s Web3 Cloud. This solution will be a key driver of Web3 user adoption within Salesforce.com and its extensive user ecosystem while directly benefiting the Polkadot ecosystem and its parachains. This partnership actively promotes growth and innovation across dapps, further solidifying Apillon’s role in spearheading Web3 adoption.

So, why vote Aye?

⧓ Enterprise Adoption Spearhead - Apillon’s Salesforce integration brings Polkadot’s infrastructure into mainstream enterprise use, driving user growth and showcasing real-world Web3 applications.

⧓ Offering expansion - Apillon’s expanded integrations with Kwil, CESS, and POP enable developers to access decentralized databases, encrypted storage, and INK! smart contracts, boosting versatility and usability.

⧓ Refined templates for enterprises - Optimizing Simplets into use-case-focused products streamlines the process for enterprise customers to integrate and deploy customizable dapps.

⧓ Continuous UX and Developer Experience Improvements - M3 focuses on refining services based on user feedback and pain points, leading to a polished experience for developers and end-users alike.

⧓ Incentivizing Adoption with Open-Source Tools - From GitHub auto-pull to Vercel templates, Apillon provides ready-made tools and open-source templates, simplifying Web3 adoption and project onboarding for the community.

⧓ Focus on Security and Trust - Apillon’s proactive third-party audits ensure platform security, reinforcing trust and reliability for developers and enterprise users building within the Polkadot ecosystem.

So this would simplify BD efforts with onboarding potentially 150k Salesforce customers to Polkadot, because they could make their CRM Web3 ready? If so, could they apply it to loyalty cases, marketing tracking, decentralized storage, campaign management, sales, and any other blockchain-based application?

This would be an awesome win. Next, I would have to check your 29-page proposal and hear from the BD teams how they would apply it to their work.

Otherways, this would be hell yeah, aye!

Dear Matjaz,

Thank you for joining the Permanence DAO call and sharing with us the details of your proposal.

After a review and discussion of the proposal in light of the information shared over the call, we suggest the following:

  • Limit the budget to $250K over a 3-month period.
  • Deliver a target number of running applications in different verticals built on Apillon services, built by Apillon's current builder base.
  • Onboard a target number of end-users to those applications.
  • Develop a marketing/business strategy in contact with the marketing and business development teams in Polkadot to turn the end-users into paying costumers.

While we understand the aspiration of working with enterprises, we think that the Salesforce integration should be included in a future proposal. In our opinion, it's beneficial to view Apillon as a middleware that can make it easier for developers to build on the Polkadot Cloud/Hub. We believe that this approach should be the main focus for Apillon going forward.

Best regards,

Permanence DAO
