POLKADOT CHARITY FOUNDATION - Establishment & Inaugural Initiative Launch
Introduction
Dear Polkadot community,
In this proposal, we aim to establish the Polkadot Charity Foundation in order to promote Polkadot technology for charitable causes, supporting projects that enhance social benefits and commitment to people, positioning itself as a leader in social responsibility. The creation of this foundation will benefit the growth of Polkadot and increase overall brand visibility, reputation and adoption. The work of the foundation will have a significant impact through international media and social coverage, solidifying Polkadot's presence worldwide.

Our Team
1. Problem Statement
In today's competitive market, maintaining a positive brand image and achieving widespread recognition is increasingly challenging. Many companies struggle with limited visibility, negative public perception, and a lack of engagement with their target audience, and they resort to partnering with other NGOs to achieve greater reach. Nowadays, most companies in the blockchain industry do not have a corporate social responsibility arm as part of their company vision and mission.
2. Objective
The primary goal of the foundation is to enhance the global image of Polkadot. This proposal outlines how strategic charitable programs can foster brand growth, improve community loyalty, and establish Polkadot as a leader in social responsibility.
3. Solution
Establishing the Polkadot Charity Foundation represents a strategic move for Polkadot´s development by integrating philanthropy directly into its operations. Unlike partnering with external NGOs, creating an in-house foundation allows for full control over the charitable initiatives and ensures alignment with the core values and goals. Additionally, these activities will be widely publicized through national and international media outlets, generating positive social coverage and enhancing the brand’s reputation.
4. Conclusion
By establishing the Polkadot Charity Foundation, Polkadot creates a unique value proposition that differentiates it from its competitors, strengthens its relationship with the community and increases the influx of new users.
P.S. As early adopters of Polkadot, we reaffirm our commitment to Polkadot Charity Foundation by proactively funding the development of the website, branding, and promotional materials.

To summarize what I understood:
My questions would be
Hello @DotDotApe
First, let us correct the misunderstandings:
a) We are NOT partnering with Save the Children; that was merely an example of other organizations adopting this approach. For the inaugural initiative, we are partnering with audited local soup kitchens. All details can be verified through legal contracts, ensuring complete transparency to the entire Polkadot community.
b) It's not a 3 weeks campaign, we will be creating audiovisual and writting content and managing the social media for 13 weeks (3 months).
c) It's not just about attracting potential new users from global media; when you commit to charitable activities, people identify with social causes, which makes this type of content the most engaging on the internet. For instance, consider MrBeast—he's the biggest content creator in the world because he adopted this approach and understood the impact of charitable initiatives, recognizing how users interact more with this type of content and are more likely to share it, creating a snowball effect on engagement. As a result, the potential for attracting new adopters is much higher.
Regarding your questions:
1 - We have already answered this on the proposal, where we stated: "We reaffirm our dedication to the Polkadot ecosystem by actively supporting and enhancing its growth and sustainability. This process is carried out with a strong emphasis on transparency and decentralization, ensuring that all activities are open, fair, and inclusive for all participants. Through these actions, we aim to contribute to a robust and thriving Polkadot environment."
2 - We have been early adopters and active members of the Polkadot network community since 2020, contributing to numerous initiatives within the ecosystem, including the WAG bounty, the Spanish bounty, and Parachain tasks, among others. Additionally, one of our team members serves as both a Polkadot/Kusama ambassador and a Parachains ambassador. All of these contributions can be verified by some audited community members.
3 - At our current stage, we are awaiting feedback from the community. In any case, we would gladly work and collaborate with key partners such as the Web3Foundation.
4 - This goes far beyond a marketing campaign or bounty. Our objective is to build a strategic extension of the Polkadot ecosystem for its growth and address the visibility challenges.
Polkadot closer to the people
Hi and thanks for your ref and proposal! I miss a strong narrative how Polkadot's technology can be leveraged for more impactful, sustainable outcomes. Most CSR initiatives typically establish a clear connection between their activities and their broader social impact. Without this, it might be more effective to donate to well-established international, national, or local organizations to strengthen our brand. I'm also curious about the decision to request funding in DOT rather than stablecoins. Given the inherent volatility of DOT, how do you plan to manage potential fluctuations in value? thx for your response.
Hello @Pieky
Regarding your first question:
In the first phase, our goal is to showcase the human side of Polkadot to society. In the second phase, once our transparency is verified, we aim to use Polkadot Blockchain technology to address most of the problems currently faced by NGOs, such as lack of transparency and ensuring the proper allocation of the funds raised, with the entire process being fully audited.
We envision the creation of a Parachain that functions as a DAO with a charitable focus, leading to an increase in real blockchain use cases and, consequently, greater liquidity and adoption.
Concerning your second question, the reason we have requested DOT instead of stablecoins is primarily due to the limited liquidity and their lack of compatibility with major CEXs. Additionally, bridging or swapping these USDT for other tokens would likely result in higher costs. In the case of potential fluctuations in value, we will reassess the initiative and adapt to the circumstances, continuously communicating these adjustments to the Polkadot community.
