Polkadot Web3 Gaming / Onboarding Indie Game Developers
I own a couple active 10 year old Facebook Groups, dedicated to Indie Game Developers and I was wondering if anyone here would support re-branding my groups as Polkadot Web3 Gaming Groups?
For re-branding I could change the cover photos to Polkadot Gaming Cover Photos and feature some current Polkadot Web3 Games. I could also pin links for Polkadot Games in the group and hire people to share more information about Polkadot Gaming in my groups.
I believe this would be great exposure for Polkadot and Web3 Gaming as my groups are mostly Indie Game Developers, some who'm might be interested to build on Polkadot or adopt Web3 into their current games.
Currently, my groups are active but I haven't been able to keep up with the number of new posts per day so there is a massive back-log of posts which need moderated.
I would be looking to get DOT from the treasury to pay a couple full time promoters / moderators to moderate my indie game groups and promote Polkadot Gaming in them.
I was just wondering if this sounds like something that could benefit the Polkadot Gaming push and if it's something the assembly would invest in? I would need around 2000 DOT for the first year to hire a couple part-time workers to moderate and promote in the group. Please share your thoughts. Thankyou.

I can only assume people will be very hostile if you force a change like that, and i think people will take web3-gaming about as well as if there was a re-branding to micro-transactional mobile gaming. Better to create something new and have people join willingly,
Hello and welcome to the Polkadot community where we are passionate about gaming and love meeting fellow indie-minded game devs. :) Please can you answer a few follow up questions: 1) Can you send a separate doc with the most active developers in the group along with their start date? 2) Of the top 30, what are their related twitch and discord addresses? (reddit, twitter and telegram would be amazing to have too!) The concern would be that this is an old group and that engagement has moved on to the most relevant platforms in gaming. 3) What are the top 5 successes in the group? 4) What are the top failures? These can be good too as we can teach developers new game mechanics that will help them monetize their games. Importantly, on #4, our aim is to onboard indie game devs in an *AUTHENTIC* way, not in a pump and dump kind of way. But the only way we can reach these people is through real onboarding. My concern is that we could throw a lot of money into empty spaces in the same way that hundreds of millions of advertising dollars are thrown through TV sets into empty living rooms. We want to meet game devs exactly where they are and teach them ways to use blockchain mechanics to drive 1) engagement and 2) monetization. According to our data, it can drive ~20% top line growth, which is meaningful in a backdrop of almost no mobile revenue growth. There is a lot of promise in gaming and the community wants to be very careful that we go about it in a very authentic and impactful way, both for indie game developers like you and also for the Polkadot community. Thank you for your interest and looking foward to your response. GAME ON!
