Burn half the treasury

I don't think this project is in a phase where the treasury is really helping.  Its being divisive.

Grifter influencers come around, that have had nothing to do with Polkadot, even badmouthed it for years, to then come slurp up the treasury. 90% vote nay, but they come witg whales and just get their way.  I'm just waiting for Bitboy to make his proposal...

I have been around polkadot since 2021, and always believed it to be a great project, But at this point I am so close to giving up.  Is there anyone that would like to make or would support a proposal to burn atleast half (if not more) of the treasury, as at the moment it just seems to attract a lot of bad energy.

keep the treasury, just burn everything thats going into it from now on until we need to fill it again

@Lied2Hero This could work too, as long as the solution incentivices to use the treasury funds wisely.  I would recommend burning half the treasury, and keep burning half, until we actually find a usecase for the overflow of funds.  On projects that are worth it, rather then using it as a bottomless piggybank. Or funding youtube influencers.  Good projects dont need to be advertised, and I would like to believe Polkadot is a good project.

On a sidenote, as long as Polkadot/Opengov works as a Plutocracy, there should be no voting IMHO.  Whales decide the flow of treasuryfunds.  This is HIGHLY centralized, and renders opengov completely useless.   It's nothing close to anything that even resembles a democratic voting system!  Was this the goal, do we just like to see the world burn?  There needs to be another system.  A collab with Kilt for example where it's 1 person/ 1 vote, save us the troubles.   There could be a multiplier implemented for dot holdings, but this should be somehow capped.

Burning half the treasury would be huuuge news and be a huge marketing stunt! Way better than having shilled Youtubers promote it!
