Beyond Raw Data: How Polkascan Transforms Subsquid Aggregates into a User-Friendly Polkadot Experience (Polkadot Treasury Proposal)
Dear community,
We would like to discuss our latest Treasury Proposal with you.
In short, we want to extend the Polkascan open source block explorer with more features, such as an improved dashboard, user-friendly descriptive representations of events and calls, making the data understandable for less technically inclined users. Please read our proposal document for all improvements.
These enhancements make the block explorer more useful for parachain teams that host it.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Team Polkascan

@kryptoschain Thank you for dedicating your time to our proposal; we sincerely appreciate your insights. While we acknowledge that we are currently playing catch-up with features compared to other well-known block explorers, this proposal represents a significant step towards not only bridging that gap but also introducing innovative solutions. Our mission goes beyond presenting data; we aim to make blockchain data more comprehensible by adding a layer of clarity to the raw technical information, thereby rendering it accessible to a wider audience. Importantly, our stance as a foundation distinctly differs from commercially driven entities. Polkascan’s open-source nature is designed to empower parachain teams by providing them with the tools to host their own block explorers as alternatives. We are committed to fostering an environment of diversity and adaptability within the ecosystem.
Though our proposal has a number of features determined by us — and we think these will be very welcome improvements, we do invite parachain teams to give their opinions on what features they find the most important. After all, they know best what is necessary for their communities.
Ben from Dwellir here.
Would 100% back this proposal going forward and would gladly advocate internally for my team to support this project with infrastructure resources to help get speed this project up and aid financially.
