Please vote thumbs up/thumbs down on this post to help gauge sentiment.

1. Context of the proposal

Open Gov is incredibly frustrating for proponents.
See discussion on Element Polkadot Direction channel on Saturday July 15th.

2. Problem statement

A source of frustration for proponents is the lack of evaluation criteria to work against, a lack of constructive/actionable feedback from Nay voters, and a lack of community participation.

3. Proposed solution

  • Proponents will be encouraged to create a succinct 1-page document stating the criteria upon which they want the proposal to be evaluated.
  • The evaluation criteria document will be published along with the proposal document during the the proposal discussion phase.
  • After public discussion the evaluation criteria will be synthesized into a survey. The survey questions will be published publicly.
  • Nay voters with verified identities will be contacted/invited to fill out the survey anonymously.
  • Survey participation is optional. Those who do choose to participate will earn more reputation/weight/credibility.
