Featured Research Proposal: Empowering the Polkadot Ecosystem [CryptoEQ]
Hello Everyone,
I am Ameer Omar, a member of the core team at CryptoEQ. Our company specializes in providing institutional-grade research and ratings for digital assets and underlying technology.
Since 2020, we have been producing high-quality reports in the industry, catering to early-stage crypto companies, individuals, DAOs, and institutional investors. Our goal is to offer comprehensive fundamental research that empowers our clients with valuable insights.
We have recently established connections with the Parity team, which has led us to approach the Polkadot community and treasury directly. We believe that covering three specific topics will greatly benefit the Polkadot ecosystem and the wider market. These topics include:
- XCMv3: A comprehensive analysis of its cross-chain interoperability protocol and its value proposition compared to other protocols.
- OpenGov: Exploring the transformative OpenGov upgrade and its implications for decentralized governance in the Polkadot protocol.
- Blockspace: Examining Polkadot's innovative approach to generating high-quality, flexible blocks, and its impact on the blockchain landscape.
For further details, please refer to our complete proposal available at Polkadot | CryptoEQ Proposal.
To assist your review, we have compiled a repository of resources that includes:
-Deck showcasing our reports
-DOT Report
-Example of a CORE+ Report
-One-pager providing an overview of our network
You can access the repository through this link: Repo of Resources
As a comparison to show our value and commitment to long-term monitoring of Polkadot ecosystem, HERE is the on-chain council motion and HERE is a detailed doc about the Messari proposal which requested a total of $125k for 5 reports on the ecosystem. I have also added a thread from the community on Messari's relationship to the treasury and coverage.
Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with the Polkadot community and drive positive outcomes together.
Best regards, Ameer Omar CryptoEQ Core Team

Hello! We invite a member of the team to join AAG this Thursday at 3:30pm UTC to help us better understand this initiative! Please reach out on Matrix @ jay-chrawnna:matrix.org Thanks! 🙏
Like the Messari stuff, this isn't independent research, it's marketing, dressed up as insights. No idea why common good treasuries should continue to fund this stuff. We need applied research from within these systems, not more consultants.

I feel the same way, a lot of "research companies" deploy a pay-to-play model to fluff up a project or token and diminish their integrity on objectivity. Yes, marketing is a part of the distribution of the reports. Which is a very common question. I'd encourage you to read our reports, on our dashboard like the DOT report we completed without any payment from Treasury.
I have seen other research companies' proposals like Messari, the one for Polkadot was for 125K for 4 reports. Our proposal is designed to be a proof of product to the community and modestly priced at 21k for three reports on key themes. Obviously, these can be changed depending on what the community feels are the best topics to cover. Our motive is to help assist Polkadot take back more of the narrative around; shared security, interoperability, optimization, app-chain thesis, etc, and we believe independent research could help in that direction.
