Seeking Reimbursement and Highlighting Impact of Polkadot Now India 2023 - India’s First ever Polkadot Conference
This is a dual-purpose proposal.
The first objective is to seek reimbursement for the difference amount spent during Polkadot Now India 2023, in order to maximize the impact of our efforts. We were initially awarded 41,621 DOT on March 29th, 2023. However, due to a significant price drop, there exists a difference in the spent amount that needs to be addressed.
In addition to this, we managed to organize successful meet-ups in 6 major cities across India to generate momentum and excitement leading up to the conference. These efforts greatly contributed to the overall success of Polkadot Now India.
The second objective of this proposal is to highlight and measure the impact of Polkadot Now India and how it garnered a nationwide Share of Voice for Polkadot, making it a successful first conference for Polkadot and setting the right standard for its future. People from all walks of life participated, further emphasizing success and importance of Polkadot presence in India.

I heard teams were charged for booths too? Doesn't that count as revenue? 😏 Teams told me booth cost was 5k each. 10 booths. 10*5 = 50k?
The investment in booth rental is not just an expense, but a necessary expenditure that encompasses various aspects essential for a successful event. It covers expenses such as the setup and customization of booths, along with the provision of amenities like power, WiFi, tables, and chairs, also the booth design and concept was of top quality which cant be denied. This crucial information was clearly communicated to all exhibitors well in advance, ensuring transparency and understanding. It's important to note that out of the total 10 booths available, only 6 were actually charged to exhibitors. This was because 2 booths were occupied by our team for the purpose of swag distribution, while a couple of others were allocated based on strategic partnerships. This demonstrates our commitment to maximizing the value and impact of the event for all involved parties. Furthermore, the revenue generated by the Polkadot Now India team should be seen as a reflection of the significant investment of time and effort dedicated by our team members and numerous other people who worked in the background. Over a span of nearly 5 months, we tirelessly planned and executed the event with utmost professionalism, consistently devoting our personal time. This level of dedication justifies our entitlement to claim any form of revenue from the event. In summary, the booth rental expense is a necessary investment that encompasses crucial elements for a successful event. Our transparent communication and strategic allocation of booths exemplify our commitment to creating a valuable experience. The revenue generated reflects the substantial effort and personal dedication put forth by the Polkadot Now India team, reinforcing our rightful claim to any revenue derived from the event.
First of all, the Polkadot Now India team deserves a round of applause for their dedication, passion and hard work to execute something of this grandeur scale. The event was well organized and was a delight to attend. I travelled far away to come and visit, and to my expectations it was a class apart.
