Hi Everyone ,
I am Rishant Kumar (Rish) Growth Lead, APAC for KILT Protocol and a long-term blockchain and Polkadot enthusiast. I am proposing a 2-day conference in India executed in my personal capacity – " Polkadot Now India 2023 – India's first-ever Polkadot Conference " in Bangalore, India, aimed at educating and engaging developers, investors, press and industry leaders in India on April 1-2, 2023.
The blockchain community has been growing rapidly in India over the past few years, helped by the huge number of Indian developers and the government’s official strategy to make India a leader in blockchain technology.
However, while blockchain networks like Polygon and Solana have a significant presence in the country, DOT has minimal representation. Many developers are not aware of either Polkadot and the advantages it has over other technologies, or Substrate. Equally, Polkadot is not highly visible for industry leaders or enthusiasts. To raise Polkadot’s profile in India and promote education and engagement, along with others with connections to industry and the Indian blockchain communities, I am organizing DOTIndia. The conference aims to bring together developers, researchers, media, investors, and other stakeholders to experience the Polkadot ecosystem, share knowledge and discover new collaboration opportunities for the entire ecosystem.

I am very excited to see this proposal. Finally someone is taking this initiative. I think this conference can be a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and learn more about the benefits of building on Polkadot and the potential it holds for the future of blockchain technology. Wow, this is a fantastic move! Thanks for coming up with such a detailed proposal. This could really put Polkadot on the map in India. I've been to some events where other cryptocurrencies like Solana, Matic, and Ethereum, have been getting a lot of attention. But India is a huge market with tons of talented developers, and Polkadot could really benefit from this kind of push. I hope this sets a new standard for Polkadot in India.
