continue to educate existing users of the network and integrate new ones into the ecosystem
.1.- Development of the Spanish Developer Community through educational programmes aimed at teaching Substrate technology, Ink and Rust programming language to support and generate new projects for the Polkadot and Kusama Ecosystem.
The possibility of taking the Rust, Ink! and Substrate courses in Spanish will give participants a global understanding of the framework and language on which Polkadot technology is based and will allow them to develop projects in the ecosystem.
2.- Development of educational video tutorials about Polkadot and Kusama.
Community online sessions.
3.- Build the first complete Polkadot Js guide in Spanish
You can find more details in the full proposal.

I very much support this initiative. During 2022, polkadot hub leaded the efforts around bringing educational content to LATAM + Spain. Specially, i much appreciate the all the events for brining new developers into our ecosystem (the hackathon + rust course were key to bring new developers). Thanks for all the hard work and keep it up!
Thanks for your support and time to reply
Hello all,
Without a doubt, the Polkadot Spanish Hub has been doing a lot of background work to support the ecosystem over the past year. Overall, this proposal seems to be the next step in tech education, moving away from ordinary users to focus on onboarding future developers.
Some context and interrogations about this proposal:
On Polkadot, members of the Polkadot Spanish hub previously requested funding to build their website/portal and kickstart operations as shown here:
On Kusama, members of Polkadot Spanish Hub are currently running a bounty for Spanish content (news videos, tutorials, ecosystem updates, etc) and events (side events, meetups, etc) as shown here:
It is for these precise reasons that I am wondering about the relevance of some of the items proposed by this initiative, given that:
Precisely, your youtube channel has a playlist with Cryptonitas' brilliant tutorials on Polkadot-JS and Polkadot concepts. Yet, with this proposal, you are planning to double up on video content that has already been done to excellent standards.
Furthermore, according to some community members, there should be a move away from making tutorials/videos about Polkadot-JS, especially because we already have a lot of user-friendly wallets in this ecosystem that need more visibility and adoption to make Polkadot technologies accessible to ordinary users without requiring that they take a course on developers' interfaces and Polkadot technologies.
Although I do believe that Treasury funds need to support ecosystem-wide initiatives in-and-out, I also think that these initiatives need to offer something NOVEL, rather than repeat what other people/projects are already doing for the sake of branding. In this precise case, I do think that a lot of the content that The Polkadot Spanish Hub proposes to do is already being done by other community members, which deserves to be acknowledged and respected within the community itself.
Thank you for your consideration.
Hello ALTD@DOT
We appreciate the level of your analysis on the previous work we did with Polkadot Hub in Spanish, on the current proposal presented and the all community work you mentioned.
About the points you mentioned:
in addition to this and as a request from the Wag media team we will incorporate all content curated by them to the Polkadot hub website
which added to the current content developed will be sorted by categories of topics and type of platform used.
as you mentioned it was already funded by the treasury and in this second edition the 8 recorded classes will be reused and will not be incorporated as a cost in the current proposal. However, we will improve the content on Rust to give a good continuity to the students in the Ink and Substrate courses.
Polkadot Hub will not use funds for any activity. Any future educational activities such as this proposal will be submitted to the treasury, we will not use the bounty for these developments.
-About development of tutorials and the complete Polkadot.js guide:
This point is very interesting to analyse. As a first appreciation our community is growing and evolving as we can see the example of the change from Gov1 to Gov2, so new functionalities and processes will come and we must educate the new and current users. In the Spanish community although there are already video tutorials about Polkadot.js, but at the moment we don't have a complete guide about this platform which today is the main interface to interact with the ecosystem networks, so we consider that having a step by step guide explaining not only processes but also concepts is very important to understand how Polkadot.js can be used in all the ecosystem functions.
Polkadot hub is focused on the development of the Spanish speaking Dev community as mentioned in this proposal and we believe it is very important to have a complete guide about Polkadot Js not only tutorials of some functionalities. There are uses that are not being taken into consideration in the current educational material developed by the community.
Otherwise we also consider that the educational content should not be centralized in youtubers or video creators, if we want that the ecosystem has massive adoption, the arrival of new projects and all that kind of users can learn, we must develop guides, E-learning platforms, articles and give other kind of learning resources added to the videos which are very used but not the only source of education.
The full Polkadot.js guide was developed in English only, and was very well received by the community. Polkadot Hub seeks to develop this tool by incorporating quick videos into a step-by-step reading guide with the development of concepts and definitions of the processes taking information from the wiki and Polkadot's main sources of information as you can see in this Demo.
So this type of content has not been developed before for the Spanish community.
for any other questions we are here
thanks again
