In May 2022, our previous (2nd) Kusama Treasury proposal was approved, and now by November 2022 we have successfully delivered upon all the proposed features. Please refer to Nova Wallet demo #26 in order to review the features which we have delivered upon.
Our goal for Nova Wallet is to build and maintain a high quality, open source, community-focused, and feature rich mobile application, which will have no network biases and can function with no limitations/restrictions.
Apart from developing the Nova Wallet mobile application, our team is consistently contributing to the Polkadot ecosystem by providing open source SDKs, design assets, knowledge-sharing sessions, and infrastructure. Examples include:
- Substrate SDKs for iOS and Android development
- Nova Utils GitHub — metadata & configs for networks, crowdloans, DApps, cross-chain transfers
- SubQuery API projects developed and hosted by Nova Wallet team
- Nova Assets Figma — Polkadot eco tokens, networks, DApps
- Hosted metadata portal for Polkadot & Kusama ecosystem networks — metadata portal for Parity Signer, ecosystem hardware wallet
This proposal covers the further development of Nova Wallet as a mobile application for the Polkadot ecosystem, allowing us to** expand upon the already large set of features** contained within Nova Wallet by introducing Agile Delegations for OpenGov, improving** Staking features**, and developing features suggested by the community.
The intended outcomes from this proposal:
- Implementation of this proposal’s feature set for the Nova Wallet iOS and Android apps (as described in The feature set of the proposal section)
- Public demos: every 2 weeks (see YouTube)
- Updates to AppStore / Google Play: every 1-4 weeks
- Open source iOS and Android mobile apps under Apache 2.0 license
- Open source iOS and Android Substrate SDKs under Apache 2.0 license

Hey everyone! Please feel free to review our 3rd proposal of Nova Wallet and let us know if you have any questions/suggestions! ✨
In addition, just recently we have upgraded our branding & released a 1-minute video highlighting it and majority of the features in Nova — feel free to check it out as well!

Fully support this proposal for funding - I've been a supporter of Nova receiving funding from the Polkadot treasury moving forward for a while now, as I believe that it's reached a critical mass where it is truly a shining example in the Polkadot/ Kusama ecosystem. I've generally not been a fan of mobile wallets, but recently Nova wallet convinced me otherwise - my only concern was the fugly blue colour scheme, but now that we have this new sexy midnight theme I can no longer FUD. At Basilisk/ HydraDX we really appreciate Nova's hosting of metadata for tools such as Parity Signer, allowing our users to safely custody their funds without us having Ledger integrations in place. I can also say that the Nova team are a pleasure to work with when it comes to supporting our Dapps and any feature requests we have. As a final note - Open gov has been quite a confusing new prospect for many, but I have found it extremely easy to vote on all referenda so far using the Nova app. The art of delegation is a bit too much for the average user (and requires polkadot.js explorer kek) so I'm overjoyed to see these guys taking up the challenge.
